It’s Banned Books Week here in the U.S., an annual event designed to raise awareness about intellectual freedom and celebrate the First Amendment. Launched in 1982, Banned Books Week has grown every year, with hundreds of libraries and bookstores now participating by holding events and displaying frequently banned books.
