Lois Johnson, 87, Marceline, died Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2012, at Life Care Center of Brookfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, Brookfield, with Rev. Mike White officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield.

Lois Louise was born August 28, 1924, in Filer, Idaho, daughter of Lloyd and Ruth (Beeghly) Nicholson. On August 14, 1955, she married Robert Johnson.
Lois graduated from McPherson College, McPherson, Kan., with a BA in English and had taught school in Callao, Bucklin, and other places. She was a member of the Retired Teacher’s Association and Trinity United Methodist Church, Brookfield.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Johnson, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Sharon Johnson, Chillicothe; one daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl and Dan Johnson, Lee’s Summit; five grandchildren, Scott Johnson, Chicago, Brett and wife, Jackie Johnson, Kansas City, Steve Johnson, Ames, Iowa, Michelle Farber, Kansas City, and Kelli Farber, Lee’s Summit; one brother and sister-in-law, Vernon and Rowena Nicholson, Wichita, Kan.; and a brother-in-law, Roy McAuley, Kansas City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two sisters, Vera Nicholson and Arlene McAuley.
