Robert M. (Bob) Walton, Jr., 67, Marceline, died Monday, Sept. 3, 2012, at Missouri Baptist Hospital, St. Louis.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012, at the Marceline United Methodist Church with Rev. Doug Kraus officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012, at Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline, with a Masonic service at 5 p.m. Burial with Military Honors will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville. Pallbearers will be John Carver, Joe Sportsman, Richard Crippin, Peter Janis, Jim Payden, and Gary Ravens. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Skorburg and Bob Hurtt.

Bob was born August 31, 1945, in St. Louis, son of Robert Monroe, Sr. and Anna Rebecca (Cook) Walton. He married Wynette L. (Wendy) Riedy on August 10, 1968, in St. Louis.
Bob was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and had worked at Hurtt Fab for 47 years retiring in 2009 as the manager. He was a member of Marceline United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge, VFW, and Lions Club, all of Marceline. He was active in the church and community, and a Marceline resident since 1971.
Survivors include his wife, Wendy Walton, of the home in Marceline; son, Robert M. Walton, Des Moines, Iowa; daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Michael Rhodenizer, St. Louis; brother, Rick V. Walton, St. Louis; two sisters, Susan Skorburg, St. Louis, and Sandra Walther, Sedalia; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
