Larry Smith, 69, Meadville, died Thursday, Aug. 30, 2012, at his home.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8, 20 12, at First Baptist Church, Meadville. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Larry Lee was born October 21, 1942, in Brookfield, son of Charles and Maxine (Quinton) (Murray) Smith. He married Sandra McDaniel on April 9, 1988.
Mr. Smith was retired from ConStar, Kansas City, Kan., where he had worked as a purchasing agent for many years. He had been a Boy Scout Leader when he lived in Raytown.
Survivors include his wife, Sandy, of the home; seven children, Donna and husband, Steve Best, Blue Springs, Kathy and husband, Brad Ruddell, and Larry and wife, Kris Hadley, Greenwood, Deana and husband, Brian Vochatzer, Meadville, and Greg, Mark and Pam Smith, all of Kansas City; 14 grandchildren, Heather and husband, Adam Hay, Megan Best and Cody Best, all of Blue Springs, Leslie and husband, David Miller, Grain Valley, Candice and husband, Donald Whenham, Lone Jack, Justin Hadley, Kansas City, Alex and Anna Hadley, Greenwood, Britanee Vochatzer, Hale, Austin, Logan and Remington Vochatzer, all of Meadville, Andrea Bratrude, Chillicothe, and Tony Smith, Kansas City; and four great-grandchildren, Evelyn  Hay, Blue Springs, Kate and Kason Miller, Grain Valley, and Mylie Whenham, Lone Jack.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and step-father, Art Murray.
