The Brookfield Lady Dogs softball team has certainly rebounded from a rough pair of losses last week, winning the Putnam County Tournament, and downing Clarence Cannon Conference Rival Clark County at home.

The Brookfield Lady Dogs softball team has certainly rebounded from a rough pair of losses last week, winning the Putnam County Tournament, and downing Clarence Cannon Conference Rival Clark County at home.
Putnam County Tournament
The Lady Dogs opened with a game against Clark County, winning 5-1.  Alesa Frey went 1-3.  Natalie Wheeler went 2-3 with a walk.  Megan Kearns went 1-3.  Sammi Overton was hit by a pitch.  Ashley Kearns went 1-3.  Jaclyn Weydert walked.  Bailey Parks was involved in a Fielder’s Choice.
In the second round, Brookfield topped South Harrison 6-2.  Frey went 2-3 with two RBI’s.  Alexis Lindsay went 1-3 with a homerun and an RBI.  Wheeler went 1-3.  Megan Kearns walked.  Ashley Kearns reached on an error.  Taylor Ewing went 1-3.  Brittanie Magnuson walked and reached on an error.  Weydert had a sacrifice.  Parks went 2-2 with an RBI.  
Clark County Games
In the varsity contest, the Lady Dogs won 12-2 on the mercy rule.  Frey walked, was involved in a Fielder’s Choice, and had a sacrifice.  Parks went 2-3.  Lindsay went 1-3 and was involved in a Fielder’s Choice.  Wheeler went 1-3 and reached on an error.  Megan Kearns went 4-4 with two RBI’s.  Overton went 1-3 with a grand-slam homerun and four RBI’s.  Ashley Kearns went 2-3.  Weydert walked and was hit by a pitch.  Paige Clawson walked three times.
