  • Both Moberly and Fulton turned the ball over four times Friday - and each football team would end up scoring touchdowns as a result of two of those misfortunes - but the Spartans managed to put together two clean scoring drives in the first quarter that proved to be a difference maker.
Moberly overcame a 13-12 halftime deficit by finding the end zone in each of the final two periods of play and return home with a 26-13 win against Fulton and spoil the Hornets' Homecoming celebration.
Quarterback Justin Connaway and running back Gregg Bain each had about 80 yards of rushing and Joe Galaske added about 55 more to lead Moberly's rushing attack.
The Spartans improve to 3-1 for the season and 2-0 in conference play, while Fulton has lost all four of its games now.
Moberly plays at St. James on Sept. 21.
