Clarence Hamilton, 72, Syracuse, formerly of the Marceline area, died Tuesday, Sept. 18, 2012.
Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 from 4 until 6 p.m. at Delaney Funeral Home. Burial will be held at a later date.
Clarence was born April 19, 1940, in Old Franklin, son Otho Elmer and Mary Nita (Craig) Hamilton. He married Debra Ann Clark on August 19, 2010.
Clarence was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired USDA Food Inspector. He was a former member of the Marceline Eagles Lodge.
Survivors include his wife, Debbie Hamilton, of the home in Syracuse; step-son, Richard McDonald, state of Arkansas; two step-daughters, Heather Angel, Willard, and Michelle McDonald, Springfield; four brothers, Jerry and Carol Hamilton, Kansas City, Kan., Bill and Rosemary Hamilton, and Virgil and Cheryl Hamilton, Marceline, and Charlie Hamilton, Brunswick; two sisters, Ethel Anita Carriker, Wichita, Kan., and Parthina and Billy Arthur, Marceline; and five step-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Elmer Edward, James Lester, and Otho Lavern, and one sister in infancy.
