Margaret R. Hainsworth, 103, Shawnee, Kan., formerly of Brookfield, died Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, at Shawnee Heartland Assisted Living, Shawnee, Kan.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at First Presbyterian Church, Brookfield, with Rev. Brian Butler and Rev. Julie King officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Thursday at the church. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at Davis Funeral Chapel, Leavenworth, Kan. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield.

Margaret R. was born January 5, 1909, in Brookfield, daughter of Gustave and Amy Runge. She married Tommy Hainsworth on December 26, 1937. He preceded her in death July 15, 1965.
After graduating from Kirksville Teachers College, Kirksville, Margaret started her career as an elementary teacher in the Brookfield area. After marrying Tommy, she joined him in the operation of Hainsworth Rexall Drug Store, Brookfield. Following her husband's death, she became a Social Worker for the State of Missouri. She was a member of P.E.O. Chapter A.G., DAR, and many other civic organizations. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Brookfield.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Donald Hein, Basehor, Kan.; her nephew and his wife, Mike and Carol Baker, Leawood, Kan.; her niece, Joan Baker Andrews, Westwood Hills, Kan.; and three great-nieces.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Helen Baker.
