Wynona Lambert, 98, Brookfield, died Friday, Oct. 12, 2012, at Life Care Center of Brookfield.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, at Trinity United Methodist Church, Brookfield, with Rev. Mike White officiating. Visitation will be held from 12:30 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the church. Burial will be in Bear Branch Cemetery, near Purdin.

Wynona was born December 29, 1913, near Shelby, daughter of Guy and Edith (Buswell) Montgomery. She married Nile Lambert on April 22, 1939. He preceded her in death April 10, 1992.
Mrs. Lambert had taught school at Grantsville and Brown Schools, near Browning. She had worked at Iola's Cafe and Esry's IGA Bakery until her retirement. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Brookfield, Pershing Memorial Hospital Ladies Auxiliary, Brookfield, and Army Mothers.
Survivors include three daughters and a son-in-law, Rojean Falconer, Brookfield, Rosalee Karen and Bill Hoeppner, Lexington, and Phyllis Flynn, Brookfield; one son and daughter-in-law, Ellis and Sue Frances Lambert, Kirksville; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Richard Lambert; one granddaughter, Julie Ann Hoeppner; two great-grandsons, Donic Eugene and Gage Nile; two brothers, Ross and Edward Montgomery; one sister, Velma Collier; and two sons-in-law, Junior Falconer and Larry Flynn.
