Leonard Joseph Murski, 82, Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Oct. 14, 2012, at The Lutheran Home.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, in Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Bloomfield, with full military honors by the Missouri Team.

He was born February 9, 1930, in Brenham, Texas, son of William Peter and Stella (Kopycinski) Murski. He and Rosie Madeline Watkins were married December 15, 1962, in Biloxi, Miss. She preceded him in death October 6, 1999.
Mr. Murski retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sergeant after serving more than 20 years from 1948 to 1969. He was a veteran of the Korean War and Vietnam War. He worked for Proctor & Gamle for seven years and retired in 1990 after working 15 years as an electrician for Noranda Alumium, New Madrid.
Survivors include daughter, Michelle Anderson, Saint Augustine, Fla.; step-son, Tom Preston, Cape Girardeau; step-daughters, Vivian Gail Davis, Laclede, Vickie Preston, Bellevue, Neb., and Chyrl Devoy, Brookfield; grandchildren, Jamie Jackman, Michael McDonald, Jeffrey Preston, Jonathan Neighbors, Chuck Szachta, Dillon Devoy, Madeline Devoy, Kayla Murski, Meghan Murski, Noah Murski, Hanna Anderson and Caroline Anderson; great-grandchildren, Matthew Jackman, Allison Jackman, Jacob Jackman and Anastasia Szachta; sisters, Dorothy Hurley and Irene Murski, Dallas, Texas; and brothers, Jim Murski, Little Rock, Ark., and Jack Murski, Brenham, Texas.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; a son, William Joseph Murski in 2000; brothers, Bob and Carl Murski; and a granddaughter, Melissa Jackman.
