Ramah Marion Blunt, 88, formerly of Brookfield, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012, at Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab Center, Excelsior Springs.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, Oct. 22, 2012, at First Christian Church, Brookfield, with Rev. Ron Routledge officiating. Visitation began at 12 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, 2012, at Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, with the family receiving friends from 5-7 that evening.

Ramah Marion was born April 17, 1924, in Winigan, daughter of Ben and Blanche (Morris) Cattey. July 7, 1948, she was united in marriage to Orville Emerson Blunt, in Brookfield. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Jack Halferty, Excelsior Springs; her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Sue Blunt, Weston; grandson, Clark Douglas Halferty and wife, Megan, Lee’s Summit; two great-granddaughters, Kenley and Kemper Halferty, Lee’s Summit; one nephew, Tommy Cattey, Phoenix, Ariz.; one sister-in-law and her husband, Dorothy and Wilbur Ross, Windsor; and several other extended family members.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Lorene Cattey; one brother, Guiles Cattey; one nephew, Gary Cattey; and a sister-in-law, Viola Morton.
