William B. Hoffman, 74, Leavenworth, Kan., died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2012, at Kansas University Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. at Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, near Bucklin, with Rev. David Blakely officiating. Military rites will be rendered at the cemetery.

William Blair, was born November 7, 1937, in Youngstown, Ohio, son of Charles and Katheryn (McKnight) Hoffman. On February 17, 1963, he married Connie Simpson.
Mr. Hoffman was a US Army veteran and retired after serving 21 years. He had served in the Vietnam War and was a member of the US Army Otter Caribou Association in Atlanta, Georgia. He also had been a Deputy Sheriff for Leavenworth County, Kansas Sheriff’s Department.
Survivors include his wife, Connie, of the home; one daughter, Tracy Wooten and husband, Buddy, Leavenworth, Kan.; one son, Mark Hoffman and wife, Tamara, Lawrence, Kan.; and two grandchildren, Randy Williams and wife, Amira and Julian Hoffman, all of Lawrence, Kan.
His parents preceded him in death.
