  • Miriam (Midge) S. Campbell, 94, Chillicothe, died Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe under the care of her family and Hedrick Hospice.
    Graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012, in Parklawn Memorial Gardens, Brookfield. Visitation will be held from 1 until 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 at Heritage Funeral Home, Chillicothe.
    Memorials in honor of Midge Campbell may be made to the First Christian Church of Chillicothe and left at the funeral home or mailed to Heritage Funeral Home, 3141 N. Washington, Chillicothe MO 64601. On-line condolence may be left at www.heritage-becausewecare.com.
    Midge was born August 23, 1918, in Holt County near Bigelow, daughter of William Barton Couts and Eva May (Mallon) Couts. Midge married B. Frank Plumb on June 16, 1938, in Mound City. They had two children, Carmen and Jerry. Frank preceded her in death on January, 10, 1978. December 26, 1983, Midge married Agell Duane Campbell, by Rev. Bingham at the First Christian Church of Chillicothe.
    She was a graduate of Craig High School. For most of her life Midge was a homemaker but had also worked briefly as a bookkeeper for K-Mart, Quincy, Ill. She was a member of the First Christian Church of Chillicothe, American Legion Post 25 of Chillicothe and Order of Eastern Star, Mound City, for nearly 65 years.
    Survivors include her husband, Agell, of the home; daughter, Carmen Seckington, Meadville; two grandsons, Bret Seckington and wife, Kathy, Meadville, and Craig Seckington and wife, Rita, Bentonville, Ark.; two great-grandsons, Jacob Seckington and wife, Rebecca,Topeka, Kan., and Dillon Seckington, Meadville; two great-granddaughters, Taylor and Lauren Seckington, Bentonville, Ark.; great-great-granddaughter, Charlotte Seckington, Topeka Kan.; a step-son, Rev. Duane Campbell, Laredo; two step-granddaughters; nieces and nephews.
    She was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Plumb; three brothers; four sisters; and son-in-law Clifford Seckington.
