  • Support the Bell Game Rivalry

  • While there aren’t many things that are agreed upon by both schools in the Bell Game Rivalry, the fact that it is the best rivalry is certainly one. USA Today is holding a competition for high school rivalries that could win each school’s athletic department a whopping $10,000.

  • While there aren’t many things that are agreed upon by both schools in the Bell Game Rivalry, the fact that it is the best rivalry is certainly one.  USA Today is holding a competition for high school rivalries that could win each school’s athletic department a whopping $10,000.
“With such a longstanding rivalry, even one that is as well-known as it is here, it would be nice to have such a special rivalry be known nationwide,” said Brookfield Activities Director Mike McBroom.  “I have met people from different states that have heard a little bit about it, so more exposure for something that means so much to both communities would be great.”
“We are excited to be a part of the finalist list for the USA Today’s best rivalries contest with Brookfield,” said Marceline Activities Director Kent O’Laughlin.  “There is a $10,000 price on the line for the national winner. This has been a rivalry for years between the schools with the Bell Game being a major piece of the overall rivalry.  The tradition of this game has produced many spirited contests throughout the years.  It has a major influence in helping promote community excitement and pride.  You can show your support and do your part at helping Brookfield and Marceline schools by casting your vote in support of this rivalry.
