  • Reba Wood, 93, Brookfield, died Sunday, Nov. 25, 2012, at McLarney Manor, Brookfield.
    Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with Rev. Bill Montgomery officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today, Nov. 28, 2012, at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 5-8 that evening. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield.
    Reba M. was born November 1, 1919, in McCracken, Kan., daughter of Ernest and Clorah (Pipes) Langdon. She married Robert L. Wood, Sr., on December 6, 1952. He preceded her in death February 22, 2002.
    Mrs. Wood taught school all of her working life and retired in 1990 from Brookfield R-3 School. She was a member of South Eagle United Methodist Church, the American Association of University Women, Missouri State Teachers Association and Linn County Retired Teachers Association.
    Survivors include five children, Sharon K. and husband, Ralph Rader, Independence, Darien and wife, Renee Teeter, Sparta, Kevin and wife, Janette Teeter, Parkville, Lisa and husband, Mark Plassmeyer, Blue Springs, and Kelsey and husband, Brydon Smith, Marceline; one daughter-in-law, Janie Wood, Purdin; 18 grandchildren, Steven Shoemaker, Shelby Newberry, Tommy Shoemaker, Ryan Allen, Matthew Teeter, Jessica Williams, Robert Wood, III, Tara Bailey, Becky Garrett, Richard Wood, Randall Wood, Rachel Wood, Craig Plassmeyer, Kyle Plassmeyer, Brianne Skiles, Meagan Grooms, Kirsten Smith and Caitlin Hasiag; 25 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Shirley Briggs, Brookfield; two sisters-in-law, Clarice Wood, Kansas City, Kan., and Marge Wood, Dothan, Ala.; one brother-in-law, Maurice Burnett; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
    She was also preceded in death by two sons, Robert L. Wood, Jr. and Glen Teeter; two grandchildren, Ashley Teeter and Jeremy Wood; one great-grandson, Kendall Wood; three brothers, Voris Langdon, Roy Langdon and Junior Langdon; and one sister, Doris Burnett.
