Marie Leppin, 82, Chillicothe, formerly of Meadville, died Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Meadville United Methodist Church, Meadville, with Rev. Richard Casady officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today, Dec. 7, 2012, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with the family receiving friends friends from 6:30-8 p.m. Burial will be in Meadville Cemetery, Meadville.

Lena Marie was born August 24, 1930, in Chillicothe, daughter of Allen and Sarah (Allen) Young. On August 21, 1949, she married Donald Leppin. He preceded her in death September 20, 1980.
Marie had farmed with her husband for many years. Following his death, she became a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield, and the Baptist Home, Chillicothe, until her retirement. Following her retirement, she volunteered at local nursing homes. She was a member of Meadville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Millie Leppin, Kansas City, and Dale and Sherry Leppin, Chillicothe; four grandchildren, Valerie and husband, Mike Gillilan, Platte City, Sandy Leppin, Tulsa, Okla., Misty and husband, Faron Worman, Chillicothe, and Brandon and wife, Brenda Leppin, Platte City; three step-grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; an a twin brother, Merle Young, Meadville.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
