I have taught in small country schools, private schools, and am currently teaching in a public school in downtown Los Angeles. I have been the physical education department and have been in schools where there were 11 physical educators. In October, Girls creator and star Lena Dunham sold a book to Random House for $3.7 million. Now, Gawker has obtained and published Dunham's 66-page proposal - complete with illustrations!

The book's structure is inspired by Helen Gurley Brown's Having It All and, judging by the proposal, it will allow readers the same deeply personal glimpse at Dunham that anyone who's seen her HBO comedy has become accustomed to.

Here are a few memorable quotes from Dunham's million-dollar proposal:

Check out celebrities' dramatic weight loss

•"Every ice pop I ate, every movie I watched, every poem I wrote was tinged with a fearful loss."

•"I went to my first Women's Action Coalition meeting at age three."

•"Cassie was a very fat girl we knew who we had nicknamed fat Cassie because she also wasn't that nice."

Check out Dunham's full proposal here.

Does the book sound interesting to you?
