Betty Elliott, 84, Brookfield, died Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at Life Care Center of Brookfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Brookfield, with Rev. Ron Routledge officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday at the church with the family receiving friends from 10 a.m. until service time at the church. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Chillicothe.

Betty Jean was born October 25, 1928, in Newtown, daughter of Earle and Opal (Busick) Dillinger. On October 5, 1947, she married Robert Lee Elliott. He preceded her in death April 29, 2009.
Bob and Betty became residents of Brookfield in 1958. She had worked as a secretary at First Christian Church, Brookfield, for many years, working for five ministers. She was a member of First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ, Brookfield, where she had served as a Deacon and an Elder, was a substitute organist and pianist, was a member of the church choir, and was a member of CWF. She had served on the Brookfield Youth Board, Brookfield Library Board for nine years, had been a member of Brookfield Ministries Board, and was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Torch Bearers Eta Chapter, Brookfield, for over 50 years.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Dick and Diane Elliott, Wood Heights, Jim and Amy Elliott and Jeff and Lori Elliott, Brookfield; seven grandchildren, Jeremy Elliott, Adam Phillips, Megan Elliott, Jaime Freidrichs, Jennifer Elliott, Matthew Elliott and Ryan Elliott; eight great-grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Geta Dillinger, Columbia.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Virginia Glover.
