  • Richard M. Kozera, 64, Wichita, Kan., loving husband, son, and brother, passed away December 28, 2012.
    Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.

    Born in Wildflecken, Germany on January 1, 1948 to Tony and Regina (Adamczyk) Kozera. When he was a year old, the family immigrated to the United States, and he grew up on farms near Wien, Rothville, Marceline, and Brookfield, Missouri. He attended Maur Hill Prep School and St. Benedict’s College in Atchison, Kansas where he met his wife, Rose. After graduation he worked as a public accountant in Kansas City and then as an investment manager in Wichita. He loved traveling, boating, and working outdoors. Preceded in death by his parents and brother, Edmund.
    He is survived by his wife, Rose Sittler Kozera, and nephew, Brian Kozera.
