Charles Edward Pulliam, 85, Purdin, died Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013, at Twin Pines Adult Care Center, Kirksville.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at Linneus United Methodist Church with Rev. Sue Lambert officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Rhodes Funeral Home, Brookfield, and from 11 a.m. until service time Friday at the church. Burial will be in Purdin Cemetery.

Charles Edward Pulliam was born April 13, 1927, in Purdin, son of Charlie and Nora (Buswell) Pulliam. He was united in marriage to Velma Lee Basket on October 29, 1947, in Cameron.
Survivors include his son, Duane Pulliam, Purdin; grandchildren, Ed Pulliam, Jefferson City, Sherrill and Greg Liebhart, Winigan, Lynn and Joe Turner, St. Joseph, and Julie Cash, Brookfield; 11 great-grandchildren; and one niece, Charlene Waniski, Springfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Velma; two great-grandchildren, Makala and Cameron Liebhart; a sister, Irene Smithers; and one niece, Norlene Laffey.
