Roger Stone, 75, Meadville, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at St. Luke’s Northland, Kansas City.
Funeral services were held today, Jan. 18, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Meadville, with Rev. Keith Sisney officiating. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial was in Botts Cemetery, north of Meadville.

Roger Leon was born March 7, 1937, in Bucklin, son of Wayne and Gertrude (Jenkins) Stone. On September 18, 1965, he married Anna Louise Tracy.
He had worked as a diesel mechanic for Churchill Truck Lines, Chillicothe. He was a US Army veteran and served in Germany during the Cold War guarding the Berlin Wall. He also served two years in the Naval Reserves Sea Bee’s. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Meadville, and Meadville American Legion. He had served on the Meadville City Council for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Anna, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Heather Stone, Meadville; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie and Tim Nolan, Marceline, and Amy Stone, Cameron; nine grandchildren, Eric Nolan, Buffalo, Adam Nolan, Seattle, Wash., Andrea Nolan, columbia, Dalton Stone and Lauren Nicholas, both of Cameron, and Will, Aiden, Xavier and Zoee Stone, all of Meadville; two great-grandchildren, Lola and Drake Nolan, of Buffalo; one brother, Marvin Stone, Kansas City; one sister and brother-in-law, Lola and Leon Liebhart, Ethel; a brother-in-law, Paul Lozuaway, Bucklin; a sister-in-law, Frances Stone, Independence; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Gary and Larry Stone; and three sisters, Wilma and Karen Stone and Norma Lozuaway.
