Edith Sportsman, 83, Linneus, died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at McLarney Manor, Brookfield.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2013, in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today, Jan. 21, 2013, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with the family receiving friends from 6-8 this evening at the funeral home.

Edith Katherine was born March 5, 1929, in Palmyra, daughter of James and Pearl (Kempf) Leonard. On March 15, 1947, she married Huey Richard Sportsman. He preceded her in death July 1, 1987.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, James R. and Gayla Sportsman, Brookfield, and Roger D. and Sherry Sportsman, Glendive, Mont.; five grandchildren, Nicole Sportsman and Roxanna Sportsman, Brookfield, Ben and wife, Britany Sportsman, and Patrick and wife, Amanda Sportsman, Glendive, Mont., and Tiffanie and husband, Andrew Smith, Beach, N.D.; several great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, James Leonard; and two sisters, Frances Howard and Marjory Kremer.
