Joe Hoffsette, 76, Brookfield, formerly of New Cambria, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013, at University of Missouri Hospital, Columbia.
Funeral services will be 2:00 pm, Thursday, January 24, 2013, at the United Church of New Cambria with Rev. Mary Ellen Waychoff officiating. Burial will be in the New Cambria Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1-2 pm, Thursday, at the church.

Joe was born on April 2, 1936, in Kansas City, Kan., son of Merle and Ruth (Williams) Hoffsette. He was united in marriage to Alice Faye Howard on February 2, 1991, in New Cambria.
Joe was a member of the United Church of New Cambria and worked many years for the New Cambria Livestock Auction and Brookfield Sale Company.
Survivors include one sister and brother-in-law, Anita and Philip Fay, Brookfield; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Leland and Mary Hoffsette, Brookfield, Leon and Dianna Hoffsette, Columbia, and David and Mary Bartholome, Kansas City; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Charles and Nadine Howard, New Cambria; two sisters-in-law, Judy Chiarottino, Bevier, and Nina Howard, Brookfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Marjorie; his wife on August 2, 1997; and one brother-in-law, Gary Howard.
