Dear Han Nolan,
I wanted to write and tell you how much I enjoyed reading your book. The characters were exciting to read about and your description of each was so vivid I could see them in my head. I liked the way you kept me wondering what was going to happen next.
I know that you were trying to show the conflict the nation was going through at that time, but you also showed conflicts between parent and child, siblings, friends and races. Anyone reading this book should be able to relate to one or more of the conflicts.
Even though I didn’t like the ending, I understand what you were trying to show; the ultimate conflict at that time, civil disobedience or violence.
I learned a lot from your book and am dying to read Gandhi now.
