Shirley Ann Jones, 78, Marceline, died Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline, with Rev. Brian Baker officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. today, Feb. 4, 2013, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the White Oak Cemetery, north of Browning. Pallbearers will be Terry Elliott, Jeff Jones, Troy Bruner, Ed Ewigman, Jim Cupp, and Cecil Bezoni.

Shirley was born November 21, 1934, east of Browning, daughter of Loren Roger and Ruth Irene (Head) Elliott. She married Mervin Jones on May 15, 1952, in Brookfield.
Shirley was a homemaker, had worked at Brown Shoe, did babysitting and she and Mervin owned and operated Jones Body Shop for 48 years where she did the bookkeeping. She was a member of the Marceline First Baptist Church and a Marceline resident since 1954.
Survivors include her husband Mervin, of the home in Marcelin; one son, Kem Jones and wife, Margaret, Kansas City; two grandchildren, Jeff and Michelle Jones, Kansas City; one brother, John Keith Elliott, Milan; half-brother Bob Cleveland, Donnellson, Iowa; sister-in-law, June Elliott, Brookfield; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother J.W. Elliott; and sister-in-law Dorothy Elliott.
