  • How long have you worked for the United States Postal Service?
Since 2000, started as PMR (Post Master Relief) in Linneus and got on full time in 2007. I have worked in numerous area offices. The USPS has an Officer in Charge program, which we call OIC details.  I have worked in the Chillicothe, Brookfield, Browning, Linneus, Laclede, Wheeling, Gault, and Humphries Offices.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
What I enjoy most about my job, and I remind myself of this every day, is that I am a servant.  I am a servant to the communities, and I am here to serve the communities.  I enjoy that.
What are some of your goals?
I would like to retire here.  I just want to keep improving things, keep learning.  One thing about the Postal Service is that you learn something new every day.  It’s a great thing for anyone to be in that working environment.  I am going to keep working at the things I do, and keep working.  I want to keep telling the people about all of the new things that the Postal Service does each year.
What does it mean to you to be the Postmaster in Walt Disney’s home town?
I think that it is an honor to be a Postmaster in any town.  I had a chance to swear in 15 children at Disney Elementary into their own Post Office.  It is a huge honor and responsibility to be sworn into any Post Office.
Is there anything that you would like to say to the
    people of Marceline?
We have a great crew here.  We have four rural carriers, two city carriers, and two clerks.  It’s a team effort.  I believe that team effort and respect are key in any workforce.  I am just honored to be the Postmaster here in Marceline.
