Cecelia Ann Magnuson, 65, died, Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013.
She requested no services.
In lieu of cards and flowers she requested that donations be made to the Humane Society.
She was born April 7, 1947, to Charles Frederick and Kathryn Jean (Farris) Lowe. Adopted by Norma Alvin Bailey and Elsie E. (Farris) Bailey at age 3.
Raised in Brookfield, she graduated from R-3 High School, Trenton Junior College as a LPN, and from Moberly Area Junior College as an RN. She took her national certification as a mental health RN in New Orleans, La., and devoted 30 years of nursing to those who suffer from mental illness. She worked as a traveling nurse and worked in Missouri, Alabama, Connecticut, Maine, and Florida, in both public and private facilities. She had traveling and visited 46 of 50 states and five countries. She was homemaker and had been an active Den Mother in Cub Scouts and especially.
Survivors include her two sons, Douglas Sean Black, Columbia, and Christopher Alan Black, and her son-in-law, James Daniel Sallis,Jefferson City; daughter of the heart, Jill Nichols; grandchildren, Annika Grace Black, Carsyn Jeanette and Braden William Morris, Columbia; her brother, Marion Lee and Susan Cheek, Hemmingford, Neb.; sisters of the heart, Judy L. Sebol, Brookfield, and Nora Glass, Hartford, Conn.; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Charlotte.
