Wanda Baker, 86, of Brookfield, died Sunday, March 17, 2013, in St. Joseph.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 21, 2013, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with Rev. Bill Montgomery officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today, March 20, 2013, at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 6-8 this evening. Burial will be in Park Lawn Cemetery, Brookfield.

Wanda Mae was born January 24, 1927, in Brookfield, daughter of Raymond and Lauretta (Johnson) Deer. On October 20, 1946, she married Ross Baker. He preceded her in death February 7, 2000.
Wanda had been a bookkeeper for R&T Oil Company, Brookfield, for many years. She was also an Avon Representative in Brookfield for over 40 years and had achieved membership in the Avon Representative President’s Club. She was a member of Evangelical United Methodist Church, Brookfield, Bunco Club, and Brookfield Lady Elks where she was a past president.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Marilyn Baker, St. Joseph; three grandchildren, Aaron Baker and wife, Monica, Brookfield, Audrey Roberts and husband, Jake, Grain Valley; and Suzanne Erwin and husband, Rodney, Roeland Park, Kan.; 11 great-grandhildren, Megan and Marissa Herring, Cameron, Chase, Brooks, Dawon and Cordray Baker, Brookfield, Jacey and Emily Erwin, Roeland Park, Kan.,, and Jackson, Carson and Denai Roberts, Grain Valley; one sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Ronnie Lewis, Altus, Okla.; and nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
