Norma Hammond, 88, Meadville, died today, April 1, 2013, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 4, 2013, at First Baptist Church, Meadville, with Rev. Keith Sisney and Rev. Alan Brock officiating. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today, April 3, 2013, at the church with the family receiving friends from 6-7:30 p.m. Burial will be in Meadville Cemetery, Meadville.

Norma Lee was born January 19, 1925, in Bogard, daughter of Arthur and Cora (Dorsey) Huber. On April 14, 1949, she married Lawrence Hammond.
Mrs. Hammond was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church, Meadville.
Survivors include her husband, Lawrence, of the home; three children, Gene and wife, Threse Hammond, South Pasadena, Fla., Karen and husband, Jim Muck, and Rick and wife, Naomi Hammond, all of Meadville; six grandchildren, Stacy and husband, Mark Asher, Little Rock, Ark., Ticia and husband, Eric Sanderson, Parker, Colo., Jim and wife, Lori Muck, Altoona, Iowa, Shana and husband, Doug French, Chillicothe, Kimberly and husband, John Davis, Shawnee, Kan., and Rick Evan and wife, Sarah Hammond, Meadville; 18 great-grandchildren, Jordan and Christian Dobbins, Evan and Melanie Sanderson, Noah, Isaac, Samuel and Anna Asher, Gracie and Jimmy Muck, Kealee and Eden French, Lydia, Brody and Tyson Davis, Taylor Roberts, and Parker and Peyton Hammond; and 15 foster children.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Fay Huber.
