Bernice Montgomery, 98, Shelby, died Saturday, April 6, 2013, at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield.
A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with Rev. Mike Myers officiating. Visitation will begin at 9 a.m. Wednesday with the family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in Bear Branch Cemetery, near Purdin.

Bernice Ethel, daughter of John and Katie (Lambert) Gall, was born December 6, 1914, in North Salem. On October 23, 1936, she married Ross Montgomery. He preceded her in death on March 14, 2008.
Mrs. Montgomery was a homemaker and had worked as a cook for the Shelby School and later at Stanbury Uniforms, Brookfield, until her retirement. She was a member of Bear Branch United Methodist Church, near Purdin and the Grantsville Homemakers.
Survivors include her son, Leroy Montgomery and wife, Evelyn, Blue Springs; two grandchildren, Judith Naylor and Tina Gumminger, both of Blue Springs; five great-grandchildren; and five great great-grandchildren.
Her parents, one brother and four sisters also preceded her in death.
