Helen Nadine McCarty, 95, Chillicothe, died Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Pershing Health Systems, Brookfield.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013, at St. Columban’s Catholic Church, Chillicothe. A parish rosary will be held at 6 p.m. today, April 10, 2013, at Lindley Funeral Home, Chillicothe, with visitation to follow. Friends may call from 12-9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Helen was born November 6, 1917, in Chillicothe, daughter of Joseph and Vera (Burchett) Graves. She married Maurice McCarty in 1933 in Princeton. He preceded her in death in 1973.
Helen was a lifelong resident of Chillicothe. She was employed at Lambert Glove Factory for more than 50 years. She was a member of St. Columban’s Catholic Church, Chillicothe.
Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Eskew, Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Butch and wife, Lillian Eskew, Brookfield, and Jacalyn Figg and companion, Francisco Quintero, Chillicothe; seven great-grandchildren, David and wife, Jena Eskew, and Jessica Hatcher, Chillicothe, Breanna and husband, Chris Vietch, Sedalia, Tanya Figg and companion, Eric McKenzie, Chillicothe, Brian Buckman, Warrensburg, Ashley and husband, Andy Guyer, Warrensburg, and Travis Guyer, Linneus; eight great-great-grandchildren, Todd Christo, Madyson Eskew, Quinten Eskew, Braden Constant, McKayla McKenzie, Carson Aguilar-Figg, Elena Quintero-Figg and Caleb Hearon; one brother, Bill Florence, Clinton; four nieces, Eloise Bradley, Willadene Kinneson, Rita Thompson and Lori and husband, Dale Perry; and two nephews, Louis and wife, Alice McCarty and Rick and wife, Tammy Florence.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Maurice, Jr.; one sister, Bonnie Jean Wilson; and one niece, Audra Parker.
