  • This week, on a cold and rainy afternoon, the Marceline Relays were held at Chester Ray Stadium. Eleven local and area teams competed in track and field events on this occasion, with three Linn County teams in action.

  • This week, on a cold and rainy afternoon, the Marceline Relays were held at Chester Ray Stadium.  Eleven local and area teams competed in track and field events on this occasion, with three Linn County teams in action.
    In boys team scoring:  Marceline took third with 65.3 points, Linn County took fifth with 54.5 points, and Meadville took eighth with 39.8 points.  In girls team scoring:  Marceline took fourth with 96 points, Linn County took eighth with 11 points, and Meadville took 11th with five points.
    In boys individual results for local schools:  Matt Jungles of Linn County (12.44) took sixth and Marc Jungles of Linn County (12.61) took eighth in the 100m.  Lane White of Marceline (26.88) took eighth in the 200m.  Josh Allen of Linn County (57.26) took eighth in the 400m.
    Austin Moudy of Marceline (2:08.16) took first, Derrick Knifong of Meadville (2:16.70) took second, and Casey Cruse of Meadville (2:19.28) took third in the 800m.  Moudy of Marceline (4:48.25) took first, Derek Wilson of Linn County (4:51.19) took second, Ty Stillwell of Linn County (5:18.42) took fourth, and Cruse of Meadville (5:21.42) took sixth in the 1600m.  Wilson of Linn County (10:19.56) took first, Stillwell of Linn County (11:37.32) took second, and Jordan Sayre of Marceline (12:14.41) took seventh in the 3200m.
    In girls individual results:  Morgan McCormick of Marceline (13.50) took second in the 100m.  Molly Shoop of Marceline (28.63) took second and Kendra Gladbach of Marceline (29.93) took fifth in the 200m.  Gladbach of Marceline (1:04.66) took second and Sydney Moore of Linn County (1:10.33) took sixth in the 400m.
    Moore of Linn County (2:45.13) took fifth, Claire Dorrell of Marceline (2:49.50) took sixth, and Halee Neal of Meadville (2:55.22) took seventh in the 800m.  Haili Teeter of Marceline (6:44.55) took fourth and Shaina Russell of Linn County (6:59.22) took sixth in the 1600m.  Kaitlyn Thompson of Marceline (14:26.99) took fourth in the 3200m.
    McCormick of Marceline (16.12) took first in the 100m hurdles, and first (48.68) in the 300m hurdles.
