Harlene (Moore) Stanley, 83, Chillicothe, formerly of Marceline, died Thursday, April 18, 2013, at Indian Hills Retirement Village.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, April 22, 2013, at Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home.
Harlene was born January 2, 1930, in Marceline, daughter of Jesse and Agnes Moore.
Harlene lived in Marceline until age 34, when she moved to Chillicothe with her two sons. Throughout the years, she worked as a secretary for Churchill Truck Lines, R.E.A. and Dean Machinery, University of Arkansas and the University of Missouri-Columbia. Following her retirement, she returned to Chillicothe to live her remaining years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church, P.E.O. and Eastern Star.
Survivors include a sister, Patty Eitel, Kansas City; two sons, Arthur and Robert Stanley, both of Chillicothe; two grandchildren, Randi Stanley and Andrea Jamison, both of Chillicothe; and three great-grandchildren, Sagen Stanley, Addison Jamison, and Kreed Stanley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Agnes Moore; a sister, Betty Penniston; and her brother, Jesse “Bob” Moore.
