Gail Brewer, 85, Marceline, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Liberty Hospital, Liberty.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2013, at Bethany Baptist Church, Marceline, with Rev. David Gouge and Rev. Aaron Skinner officiating. Music provided by James Farris and John Crowley. Visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline. Burial will be in Fitzgerald Cemetery, near Bynumville. Pallbearers will be Robert Brewer, Austin Brewer, Aaren Mathes, Larry Moore, Larry Weimer, and Alvin Weimer. Honorary pallbearers will be Rachel Brewer Mathes, Anna Brewer, Cecil Mott, Richard Skinner, and Randy Payne. Memorials may be made to the Bethany Baptist Church or Fitzgerald Cemetery and these may be left at or mailed to Delaney Funeral Home, 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, MO 64658.
Gail was born October 7, 1927, in Bynumville, son of Clarence and Blanche (Porter) Brewer. He married B. Imogene Garland on October 28, 1960.
Gail was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a farmer, a member of the Bethany Baptist Church, Marceline, and a rural Marceline resident all his life.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Brewer, of the home; two sons, Dennis Brewer and KaLayna, Richmond, and David Brewer and Loretta, Kearney; four grandchildren, Rachel Mathes, Robert Brewer, Austin Brewer, and Anna Brewer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Marjorie Brown, and nephew Bruce Brown.
