Kiera Holcer of Meadville, Missouri participated in the Elks National Hoop Shoot Finals in Springfield, Massachusetts on April 20, 2013. Kiera competed against free throw shooters from Wisconsin, New York, South Dakota, Kansas, Michigan, West Virginia, Washington, Maine, Georgia, California and Texas. Kiera shot a perfect 25/25 free throws and was crowned the 2013 National Elks Hoop Shoot Champion for 8-9 year old girls. As National Champion, Kiera’s name will be added to a plaque with former champions in the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, Massachusetts. Kiera was the top female shooter for all age divisions which will allow her to travel in July to Reno, Nevada to receive the Getty Powell Award at the National Elks Convention.
