Bill Crouse, 85, Brookfield, died Wednesday, May 8, 2013, at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital, Kansas City.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, May 13, 2013, at Park Baptist Church, Brookfield, with Rev. David Blakely and Rev. Mark Conyers officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 11, 2013, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with the family receiving from 4-6 that evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Chillicothe.

William E. was born January 3, 1928, in Utica, son of Elza and Arvilla (Swann) Crouse. On April 4, 1954, he married Lorene Penningtn. She preceded him in death December 30, 1999.
Bill went to work as a watchmaker and jeweler for James Jewelry, Brookfield, beginning in 1956. He later purchased the business and retired in 1999. He was a member of Park Baptist Church, Brookfield, where he served as a Deacon, Sunday School teacher and member of the choir. He was also a member of Linn County Community Chorus for many years, and had served on the Brookfield R-3 School Board.
Survivors include two children, Amy Crouse and husband, Steven Beldin, Kansas City, and Bill and wife, Cathy Crouse, Altoona, Pa.; three grandchildren, Mathew and wife, Caitlin Crouse, West Plains, Leslie Crouse, Clinton, and Angela Beldin, Nashville, Tenn.; two sisters-in-law, Norma Crouse, Nevada, and Lahoma Crouse, Chillicothe; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Calvin Crouse, Leon “Bob” Crouse, and Don Crouse; and two sisters, Marilee Edwards and America Crouse.
