Bernice Moeder, 88, Newhall, Calif., formerly of Brookfield, died Saturday, May 18, 2013, in Valencia, California.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield, with Rev. Mike White officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield.
Bernice Marie was born on June 5, 1924, in Brookfield, daughter of Clayton and Maude (Dowell) Swank. On April 21, 1946, she married Dale Moeder. He preceded her in death on November 29, 2003.
Bernice was a homemaker and had also worked for Rainbo Bread, Bell Telephone, and managed a school cafeteria. She was a member of the Friendly Valley Community Church, Newhall, Calif., and a former member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Brookfield. She and her husband, Dale, were members of the Good Sam RV Club.
Survivors include two sons, Richard and wife, Nancy Moeder, Newhall, Calif., and Roger and wife, Linda Moeder, Sequim, Wash.; four grandchildren, Steven and wife, Stacy Moeder, Lea Ward, Tanner Moeder Wilson and wife, Rachael, and TaBetha and husband, Warren Scott; five great-grandchildren; three great great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Bonnie Swank, Chillicothe; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Eugene Swank; and one sister, Mary Taylor and husband, Charles.
