Owen Kehr, 90, Meadville, died Sunday, May 26, 2013, at Morningside Center, Chillicothe.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013, at Meadville United Methodist Church, Meadville, with Rev. Richard Casady officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today, May 29, 2013, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with the family receiving friends from 6 until 8 this evening. Burial will be in the Meadville Cemetery, Meadville.

Owen Royal was born May 7, 1923, in Bagnell, son of William and Verna (Sander) Kehr. On July 31, 1943, he married Lois Muck. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2007.
Mr. Kehr had been a farmer all of his life. He was a US Army Veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of the Meadville America Legion Post 517 and Meadville United Methodist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Finney and husband, Jay, Meadville, Dana Gray and husband, Charles, Chester, Va., and Diane Ward and husband, Craig, Meadville; nine grandchildren, Jason Finney and wife, Andrianna, River City, Ill., Nathan Finney and wife, Megan, Kansas City, Jennifer Kienzle and husband, Keith, Chester, Va., Jessica Moye and husband, Seth,Apex, N.C., Marcus Gray and wife, Jess, Amherst, Va., Gregory Gray and Victoria Gray, Chester, Va., Crystal Ward, Maryville, and Lacey Osmon and husband, Danny, Jefferson City; eight great-grandchildren, Alex and Jason Smith, River City, Ill., Lily Finney, Kansas City, Owen and Andrew Kienzle, Chester, Va., Parker Gray and Spencer Moye, Apex, N.C., and Danielle Gray, Amherst, Va.; one sister-in-law, Marian Kehr, Meadville; a lifelong friend, Forestine Wayland, Kansas City; and several nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Ruth Ann Kehr; six brothers, Henry Kehr, Jewel Kehr and wife, Erma, Merle Kehr and wife, Lola, Ronald Kehr, Herschel Kehr and wife, Verna, and an infant, Dewey Kehr; and one sister, Mildred McCaghy and husband, A. A. “Pat.”
