Lavenia Mae (Brantner) Coffman, 96, Shenandoah, Iowa, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013, at Shenandoah Medical Center.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, May 30, 2013, in Enterprise Cemetery, east of Browning, with Rev. Russell Abbott officiating. Pallbearers were her grandsons.
She was born October 20, 1916, in Browning, daughter of Custer and Grace (Baker) Linhart. She married Erman Brantner on September 4, 1933. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1984. To this marriage were born one son, Richard Brantner, and one daughter, Lucille Brantner. She later married Wayne Coffman. He also preceded her in death.
She was a member of Browning Church of Christ.
Survivors include her daughter, Lucille Brantner, Shenandoah, Iowa; grandchildren, Michael Brantner, Kirksville, and Jon Eric Brantner, Shenandoah, Iowa; step-children; great-grandchildren; a sister, Dorothy Christy, Chillicothe; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her son, Richard Brantner; two sisters, Jesse Linhart and Rosalie McMulin; and three brothers, Marvin, Wesley and Vernon (Buck) Linhart.
