Dena Ervie, 68, Grandview, formerly of Marceline and Bucklin, died Tuesday, June 4, 2013.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Friday, June 7, 2013, in Peden Chapel Cemetery, southeast of Marceline, with Rev. Brian Baker officiating. Visitation was held from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, June 6, 2013, at Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline. Pallbearers were Frank Stallo, Hezekiah Gichana, Ed Frazier, Lucas Adams, Chris Akins, and Harley Mohr.

Dena was born May 23, 1945, in Marceline, daughter of Alfred and Anna (Blew) Grable. She married Ronnie Ervie.
Dena graduated from Bucklin High School, had worked at Stanbury, was a member of the Grace Baptist Church, Brookfield, and an area resident most of her life.
Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Yolanda and Ed Frazier, Annie and John Perrin, and Dede and Chuck Mohr, all of Marceline; two brothers, John Grable and Elmo “Buck” Grable, both of Creighton; one sister and brother-in-law, Lillie Ruth and Villis Stalte, Brookfield; nine grandchildren, Latisha Gichana and husband, Hezekiah, C.W. Mohr and wife, Christine, Lucas Adams, April Akins, Chris Akins, Harley Mohr, Cheyenne Mohr, Danny Frazier and wife, Melissa, and Amber Frazier; and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 12 brothers and sisters, and one granddaughter Sarah Perrin.
