Richard I. Singleton, 87, Laclede, died early Thursday morning, July 11, 2013, at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Rhodes Funeral Home with Rev. Ron McPherson officiating. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home with the family receiving friends from 12:30 until service time.

Richard Irwin was born July 4, 1935, in Springfield, Ill., son of Clarence Henry and Laura Edith (Curry) Singleton. On August 2, 1955, in Kansas City, he was united in marriage to Betty Lou Judy.
He spent his life an an owner/operator truck driver.
Survivors include his wife, Betty, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Sandy, Mendon, and Dennis and Sue, Linneus; two daughters and a son-in-law, Myrna Kay (Singleton) Livingston, Brookfield, and Louis Jean (Singleton) and Richard Caselman, Meadville; 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Charlie (Hank( and Dee Singleton, Hale; and three sisters and a brother-in-law, Barbara Judy, Hale, Kay and Richard Lundgren, Fort Wayne, Ind., and Anne Shilman, Brookfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, John Henry, Lloyd William and Ivan Lee Singleton.
