  • Irene Coram, 93, Brookfield, died Monday, July 8, 2013, at Pershing Memorial Hospital, Brookfield.
    Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2013, at Grace Baptist Church, Brookfield, with Rev. Kelly Bodwell officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 13, 2013, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with the family receiving from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Nester Chapel Cemetery, near New Boston.
    Memorials to Grace Baptist Church may be left at or mailed to the funeral home at P.O. Box 496, Brookfield, Mo. 64628.
    Irene Daloris was born May 20, 1920, in Garland, Kan., daughter of Ben and Lura (Watson) Thudium. On September 16, 1939, she married Chester Coram. He preceded her in death December 19, 1954.
    Following the death of her husband, she was a childcare provider in her home until retiring in 1993. She was one of the founding members of Grace Baptist Church when it was formed on January 8, 1950. She was a bus captain for the church bus for many years.
    Survivors include two children, Gary and wife, Ruth Coram, Kansas City, and Glenda Krawl, Brookfield; five grandchildren, Anita Coram, Kansas City, Michael and wife, Julie Coram, and Nina Carnoali, all of Lee’s Summit, Robert and wife, Paul Krawl, Cameron, and Rodney and wife, Tina Krawl, St. Catharine; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Noah Coram and Mica and Makenna Carnoali, all of Lee’s Summit, Lane Krawl, Brookfield, Shannon and husband, Joe Stretch, St. Joseph, Jacob Still, Cameron, Brice Sensenich, Brookfield, Emily Krawl, Windchester, Ill., and Melia and Michael Shepherd, St. Catharine.
    She was also preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Thora Clubine and Viola Asher; two brothers, Daniel and Junior Thudium; and a granddaughter, Mica Coram.
