Arthur E. Stanley, 58, Chillicothe, died Saturday, July 13, 2013, at St. Luke’s Northland Hospital, Kansas City.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, 2013, in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Marceline, with Mr. Tom Underwood speaking. Visitation was held from noon until service time Tuesday at Delaney Funeral Home, Marceline. Pallbearers were Charlie Maples, Larry Melte, Gary Wayman, Billy Keith, Burl Ireland, and Bob Hornsby. Honorary pallbearers were Bob Marriott, Jeff Marriott, Dick Snyder, and Steve Thompson.
Memorials be made to the Forrest O. Triplet Memorial Animal Shelter may be left at or mailed to the funeral home at 1720 N. Missouri Ave., Marceline, Mo. 64658.
Arthur was born November 13, 1954, in Marceline, son of Elmer Lawrence and Harlene Frances (Moore) Stanley.
Arthur was a 1972 graduate of Chillicothe High School. He worked as an auto mechanic, was a member of the United Methodist Church, Chillicothe, and a Chillicothe resident most of his life.
Survivors include his brother, Robert (Bob) Stanley, Chillicothe; two nieces, Randi Stanley and Andrea Jamison, both of Chillicothe; one aunt, Patty and Richard Eitel, Kansas City; two great-nephews, Sagen and Kreed Stanley; and one great-niece, Addison Jamison.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
