George H. Hanson, 64, Bucklin, died August 8, 2013, at his home.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today, August 12, 2013, at Delaney Funeral Home, Bucklin, with Rev. Monty Montgomery officiating. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, August 11, 2013, at the funeral home in Bucklin. Burial was in the North Swedish Lutheran Church Cemetery, north of Bucklin. Pallbearers were Jimmy Jackson, Nathan Newlin, David Courtney, Cyrus Hanson, Luke Wright, and Jeremy Molloy. Honorary pallbearers will be George Behrman, Jim Kosman, and Allan Molloy.
Memorials be made to the Heart Association may be left at or mailed to the funeral home, 41 Locust, Bucklin, Mo. 64631.
George was born March 25, 1949, in Brookfield, son of Roy A. and Sevilla Mae (Wolf) Hanson. He married Karen Ann Jackson.
George was a farmer, a member of the Bucklin United Methodist Church, and a Bucklin resident all his life.
Survivors include his wife, Karen, of the home in Bucklin; step-father-in-law, Junior Moore, Brookfield; son, Todd Hanson and Lori, Bucklin; daughter, Teresa Wright and Corey, Marceline; brother, Leroy Hanson, Bucklin; sister, Mary Newlin and Sam, Bucklin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David and Sherry Courtney, Marceline; four grandchildren, Luke Wright, Madalyn Wright, Gracyn Hanson, and Cyrus Hanson; and five nieces and nephews, Susan Burns, Amy Jobson, Nathan Newlin, Devin Bussman, and Heather Nanneman.
He was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother, Ruby; and mother-in-law, Louise.
