Did I hear correctly that John Kerry, our beloved globe trotting Secretary of State has deemed the possible use of chemical weapons against Al Qaeada “a moral obscenity?”

Would this be a good time to remember that the United States has been the only country to murder nearly 150,000 civilians with nuclear weapons in time of war, and that it built an arsenal designed to target nearly 1,000,000,000 civilians during the Cold War? That John Kerry himself was part of a military adventure that looted, raped and tortured its way across the Vietnamese countryside? That he represents a regime which has tortured and war-crimed itself across the globe in the name of terror, apparently killing journalists, torturing suspects, holding them without trial, murdering sixteen year old American civilians with drones?

Moral obscenity? The United States is the moral obscenity. I’m not shocked by the possible use of chemical weapons by Assad; I expect him to use them when battling terrorists. Isn’t the message that all bets are off in the war against terror? I don’t call it an obscenity. I call it a good start. Maybe Kerry and Obama need to reconsider the American moral failings before throwing stones.
