Wayne L. Davolt, 81, Brookfield, died Friday, Aug. 23, 2013, at Life Care Center of Brookfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesda, Aug. 27, 2013, at Freedom Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Adrian officiating. Masonic services will be held at 6 p.m. today, Aug. 26, 2013, at the church with the family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield.

Wayne Lewis was born November 2, 1931, in Bucklin, son of George A. and Ethel F. (Bailey) Davolt. He married Aleta Burns.
In the early 1960s he went to work for the CB & Q Railroad, after many years of service he retired as a conductor from Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a member of Brookfield Lodge #86 AF & AM and Florence Chapter #124 Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include his children, Brenda, Browning, and Steve and wife, Jo, Harlan, Iowa; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his brothers and sisters, Delores andClifford Summers, J.C. and Carolyn Davolt, Joan and Ronnie Fugate, Joylee Ayers, and Sharon Gladbach; a brother-in-law, Frankie Hicks; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two grandsons, and a sister, Darla Hicks.
