Franklin Holloway, 78, Brookfield, died Monday, August 26, 2013, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, August 29, 2013, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, with Rev. Sue Lambert officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today, Aug. 28, 2013, at the funeral home with the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 this evening. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Brookfield.

Franklin D., was born October 30, 1934, in Brunswick, son of George “Bill” and Mary (Parry) Holloway. On May 10, 1957, he married Iva Jean Peavler. She preceded him in death on January 5, 1994. He married Patsy Rader Surber on July 30, 1998.
He was retired from the US Air Force after 21 years of service. While living in the State of Alaska he managed a moving business and worked as a realtor. He had been a member of First Baptist Church, Rothville, and then became a member of Linneus United Methodist Church, Linneus. He was also a member of the American Legion Post 197, Laclede, the Masons and was a Shriner.
Survivors include his wife, Pat Holloway, of the home; two brothers, Kenneth Holloway and wife, Marilyn, Brookfield, and Glenn Holloway and wife, Janell, Laclede; his sister-in-law, Louise Holloway, Brookfield; four step-children, Rick Surber and wife, Robyn, Chillicothe, Brenda Muller and husband, Jim, Hamilton, Teresa Muck and husband, Larry, Meadville, and Cory Surber and wife, Stacy, Wheeling; and 12 step-grandchildren and 14 stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Eldon Holloway and Delbert Holloway; and one sister Louise Clough.
