The Brookfield Bulldogs have retained The Bell for the fourth consecutive year, thanks to a 34-yard field goal by sophomore kicker Arturo Huerta. Despite stellar efforts by both teams, the Dogs won this game 16-14.

Late in the first quarter, Brookfield responded by taking advantage of a Tigers fumble, and would drive to score late in the opening frame on an eight-yard touchdown run by JJ Abongo. The game was tied 7-7 after one quarter.
Brookfield would have a long drive late in the second quarter, ending with a one-yard touchdown run by Brycen Corf. The extra point was partially blocked by Daniel Haas, which would come into play later on.
Marceline, with the second quarter clock winding down, would utilize their aerial assault to score on a 20-yard touchdown pass from Blake Linebaugh to Trevor Hamilton. Smith booted through the point-after to give Marceline a 14-13 lead at the half.
The teams exchanged possessions in the third quarter. Brookfield would take advantage of a short punt, and would drive to the Marceline 17, and on fourth down, Huerta would boot through the field goal to give Brookfield the win.
