Lois White, 95, Brookfield, died Monday, Sept. 23, 2013, at McLarney Manor, Brookfield.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, September 27, 2013 at Linneus United Methodist Church, Linneus, with Rev. Sue Lambert officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013, at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home, Brookfield, the family will receive friends from 6 until 8 that evening. An Eastern Star Service at 5:30 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Linneus.

Lois Marie was born January 29, 1918, in Linneus, daughter of Leslie and Mabel (Van Horn) Buckman. On January 5, 1936, she married Harold White. He preceded her in death on June 22, 1986.
Lois had owned and operated a restaurant in Linneus for several years, had worked has a cook at the Linneus school and worked at Whitaker Cable, Brookfield, until her retirement. She was a member of Linneus United Methodist Church in Linneus, the Eastern Star, the Lucky Dozen and OATS all in Brookfield.
Survivors include two daughters, Lela Groes and Joyce and husband, Ray Epperly, all of Brookfield; five grandchildren, Billy and wife, Candy Groes, Auxvasse, Kathy and husband, Cary Mason, Cameron, Mike and wife, Becky Groes,Grain Valley, Donnie Epperly, Brookfield, and Donna Epperly and William King both of Moberly; six great-grandchildren, Joshua Epperly, Brunswick, Kirby Groes, Las Vegas, Nev., Samantha McClary and Nickolas Mason, both of Cameron, Abie Groes and Landry Jean Groes, both of Grain Valley; two sisters-in-law, Marjorie Brobst and Ethel and husband, Donald Thompson, all of Chillicothe.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter and a son-in-law, Bill Groes.
