Week Nine was a kind one to the two football teams, with the Brookfield and Marceline teams netting blowout wins.
The Marceline Tigers met up with the Slater Wildcats. The Tigers were in control from the opening kickoff, scoring all 47 of their points in the first half. Marceline will host the opening round of the Class One District Football playoffs next at Chester Ray Stadium. The Tigers won their Senior Night contest by a final score of 47-0.
The Brookfield Bulldogs found their offense in week nine, besting CCC rival Clark County by a final score of 42-6. Brookfield looks to host Trenton next week at Burlington Field in the opening round of the Class Two District Football playoffs. Zach Bragg, Brycen Corf, and Reed McBroom all had scores for the Dogs.
